Gibside NT Writers’ Retreat: Highlights

Just sharing a few pics and highlights from our writers’ retreat at the amazing pleasure gardens and grounds of The National Trust’s Gibside.  What turned out to be a rather overcast start to the morning turned to sunshine by lunchtime with a hint of daffodils!

We were comfortably installed in the downstairs of The Garden Cottage, a building which forms part of the glorious walled garden and of course there was plenty of scope for a wander around the grounds and even catch a bit of opera in the chapel after lunch.

It met with our writers’ approval so much that I am even booking a further date for July 2016.  So please watch this space!
