Shades of The Lake District

I’m just back from The Lake District.  And as I write this, I’m still visualising light through Beech trees at the waters edge,  autumnal shades as the bracken turns on the moor and precious time spent with an old friend.

This week I have climbed Brown Combe to amazing views where at one glance you could see not only 3 counties of England but also Scotland, the Isle of Man and perhaps even Northern Ireland and Wales.  I have also spent time appreciating man-made beauty in the exquisite Arts and Crafts house, Blackwell in Windermere and took time to sit and write there in the beautiful White Room.

I am back home now but I hope that my peaceful time in The Lake District remaims with me in the weeks to come.
